Thighvertising the next big thing in the world of Advertising

Thighvertising

Thighvertising is a Japanese form of advertising that states that advertising should be placed on spaces that are visible and would naturally attract attention.  Sunset and clear blue skies are beautiful and undeniably irresistible, the Japanese believe they stand no chance to the natural beauty of women’s legs. – See more at: http://www.creativeguerrillamarketing.com/guerrilla-marketing/thighvertising/.  I think Thighvertising is a very novel way of advertising.  Women who participate get paid for displaying advertising on their thighs for 8 hours.  I think men who are fit and have six packs should also be included for advertising on their bodies it could be called bodvertising.

What once was so sweet has now gone sour

Roy Keane and Sir Alex Ferguson

Sir Alex’s new book has really got to Roy Keane by criticising him.  There is certainly no love loss between the two of them.  I respect both of them and really admire them.  I think they should end this very public spat and celebrate the good times they had with Manchester United.  Life is too short.  I favour Roy Keane always have and always will.   He is a terrier like me.  I never give up especially if I know you hate me.

No more little ole wine drinker me

Cheap Booze days are numbered

Government will introduce measures to curb cheap booze sales.  No longer will a can of low cost cider or lager cost less than a price of litre of milk.  The change will target so-called ‘€5 naggins’ of vodka and certain brands of strong lager and cider by bringing in a minimum price per unit of alcohol.  The Cabinet yesterday signed off on its long-awaited alcohol strategy. A timeline on when the new laws will come into force will be announced tomorrow.  Alcohol is fine when you can ‘take it or leave it’.  However, it becomes a problem when you drink to forget a relationship ending, wrong that was done by you to another or wrong that was done to you by another.  Alcohol has the power to bring a rich man to an early grave, a young woman to the point of despair, a father or mother to neglect their children or a young man to be physically assaulted.  No drinks company will hold your hair back like a friend would when you vomit the consumption of a night’s drinking. Well maybe that’s part of walking through this world of ours.

Rory McIlroy and Caroline Wozniacki call it a day

Enough is enough

The final straw for the couple’s tumultuous relationship was Caroline posting a tweet pic of Rory sleeping.  It did not go down well at all with the famous golfer.  Caroline is rumoured to be seeing cheeky chappy singer Olly Murs following the break-up.  While Rory must pick up the pieces of his golfing career and begin to return to his flawless game.  Rory try not to vandalise any Nike clubs in the process ‘don’t bit the hand that feeds ya’.

No cuts to the maintenance grant

USI welcomes protection of vulnerable students

Union of Students in Ireland logo

USI President Joe O’Connor said: “This budget marks a turning point. After four cuts to the maintenance grant in four consecutive budgets, the Government has accepted that struggling students and families can take no more.  Third level students across the country breathed a sigh of relief upon learning their grants will not be cut in yesterday’s budget.  It is only right, times are tough on all citizens of this country but in particular students who struggle financially on a daily basis.

Haughey and Mara revival for new RTE drama

Love/Hate actors star in new RTE political drama

Aidan Gillen and Tom Vaughan both accomplished actors are set to star in a forthcoming RTE drama.  Both actors captured public attention in the hit drama Love/Hate.  Aidan Gillen is to play former Taoiseach Charles J. Haughey; while Tom Vaughan will play Haughey’s trusted adviser P J Mara.  Filming of the drama provisionally entitled ‘Charlie’ will be filmed for nine weeks and will employ a cast of 45.  I believe both actors will play the roles very well indeed.

Ronan O’Gara will make a great coach as he was as a player.  I will never forget the pivotal role he played in securing the Grand Slam for us.  Here is a short video of Ronan singing in French with Jonny hiding behind a piece of paper rather shyly.   It is really worth a watch if your rugby inclined like my good self.

Budget Day

Noonan will be ruining

As our nation’s budget 2014 fast approaches this coming Tuesday, the 15th of October 2013 the country is waiting in nervous anticipation.  The old reliables most definitely will be hit my sister is a smoker and she won’t be one bit impressed.  I’m a whiskey fan myself admittedly so hoping that will escape.  However the ‘little ole wine drinkers’ will be sweating the small stuff.  My father will be rightly ticked off if petrol gets increased.  I can’t relate to that personally as I must be the only person in Ireland to revoke my own driving licence.  Minister for Social Protection Joan Burton is certainly feeling the pressure from her Fine Gael counterparts to reduce social protection spending.  Child benefit and the old age pension must not be reduced.  The elderly and young children of Ireland are the most vulnerable in society and deserve to live not just exist.  I can’t wait for Mary Lou Mcdonald’s speech in post budget opposition comments.  She is the right one to make our government leaders hang their well feathered heads in shame.  I think all we are missing is ‘Richie Ruin’ to make it a more memorable occasion altogether.  I think Michael Noonan’s tie will be red Paddy Power is offering 5/2 for a blue one to colour coordinate with the Minister for Finance trusted Fine Gael party colour.

Kanye wants to ‘ put a ring on it’

182406627

Kanye West is reported to be “begging” Kim Kardashian to marry him.  Kim Kardashian is becoming more like Beyoncé by the day.  I guess it is perfect timing on Kanye’s part enlight of Kim’s recent divorce to Kris Humphries being finalised.   Kanye is obsessed with her,” an insider told New York Daily News. “He always has been”.  He has begged her to get married a few times; it’s Kim that’s saying ‘not yet.’  Kim is apprehensive about entering wedlock given her extensive love life.  However, Kim and Kanye are now connected in the best way possible a little tiny baby.
